Parent Coaching and Education: (in person, by phone, or skype) Our session focuses on relationship-based parenting. I weave my knowledge of child development, attachment theory, temperaments, communication skills, energy medicine and food with my thirty years of teaching experience. You gather tools and skills to help you become the parent you want to be!

Energy Medicine Sessions: (for women and children) Each session is totally unique and integrates different modalities of energy medicine: Reiki, Eden Energy Medicine, EFT, Hypnotherapy, Pranic Healing, Cuaranderisma and Food Healing. All sessions address stress and grounding which are at the foundation of many of our health problems. Come for a stress-reducing session and leave feeling calm, centered and grounded!

On the very first day of grade school, I knew I would become a teacher. At recess, as I was climbing across the monkey bars, I got stuck in the middle. It was too far down to jump and I feared I would fall if I continued. As the children taunted me, I began to cry. Then, like a cool breeze, Mrs. Barton hoisted me down, assuring me I was fine. She magically planted a seed of compassion which grew deep into my heart and my life’s work became teaching children and those who love them!

Since then… I have birthed three children who have birthed three of their own children. Wow. Being a grandmother is one of the most intense joys of my life!

Twenty years ago, I founded my own school, Magical Child Playschool. One of my passions is to help young children cultivate healthy core beliefs; those inner ideas we all hold about ourselves. Though I adore teaching children, I equally love working with their mothers. Parenting is the hardest job any human will have. With no training or credentials in parenting, we all come face-to-face with our own inner child as we raise our own children. I see women creating so much stress because they drive themselves to be perfect or they are overwhelmed and under supported. As I help them navigate through the challenges of raising children in our complex world, they often build muscles that weren’t there before. Every day is cumulative… this work truly changes families.

About Circles and Affirmation Cards:

After reading The Millionth Circle by Jean Shinoda Bolen, I began running women’s circles.  Mothers Medicine Circles became places for moms to anchor in the sacredness of being a mom.  The mothers loved the circles, but as we know, moms often put themselves last and I found it challenging to keep the momentum of the circles going.  So I gestated a new baby-a deck of affirmation cards just for mothers.  My intention was to create thoughts that would become touchstones…ideas for creating presence with their children as well as their own inner child.  Bless You Mom-Conscious Thoughts for the Mothering Journey won the Mother’s Choice Award for the most inspirational and motivational product of 2008.  I had a blast with my friend, Elizabeth, creating this deck. www.blessyoumom.com  I wondered… if mothers won’t come to circle, would their daughters?  For five years now, I have been facilitating Girls Core Empowerment Circles, a place I teach young girls the value and importance of loving themselves in the sacred environment of a circle.  High self-esteemed girls grow into high self-esteemed women.  The feminine is rising!  Currently, I have twenty-five girls that are participating in these circles.

More About Me:

Over the course of my life, I received a Masters from the Institute for Shamanic Synthesis, became an ordained minister, a Reiki Master, a hypnotherapist, a food healing instructor and studied all kinds of energy medicine, finally becoming certified in Eden Energy Medicine.  I often teach classes to early childhood professionals for their continuing educational needs…mostly on guidance and discipline.  Soon, I will teach a class for the New Mexico Association for the Education of Young Children to early childhood professionals.  My workshop is titled Crossing the Midline with Poi Balls.  Poi balls are an innovative way to help children and adults build strong brains and bodies in a very fun way.

I feel blessed to be living in the second half of my life.  I still adore my partner of 35 years and our children are grown.  Age has relaxed, mellowed and ripened me.  Acceptance and gratitude have become daily medicines and tending to my inner self is the fuel that creates my vitality and well-being.  I feel deeply committed to guiding children and their mothers so they feel lowered stress, more connection, easier communication and happier moments alone in their lives.  I would be honored to have a session with you.  “Mamaste!”
